About Me

Hi, my name is Xiao Jun Yu. I am an undergraduate at Singapore Institute of Technology. I love to play games hence I aspire to become a game developer.

My Education

All of my wonderful Polytechnic classmates, we are here as we share the same interest. The journey has been tough but with them, it feels really enjoyable.

University, where all nights are spent on projects and revision. The journey was even tougher, but made me better

My Skills

C

Fundamental for high level programming. Used mostly as introductory to C++ and many programming concepts

C++

The most common programming language used, for both console program and windowed applications

C#

Programming language used for unity. In project work, I usually take up the programmer role, hence I am very familiar with C#.

Unit

Most used tool for making my games and though my life in Polytechnic and University. Other experience include Vuforia, toolkit to make VR/AR/MR applications, Microsoft Hololens and using pathfinder library such as A* Pathfinding for enemy AI pathing.

Unreal Engine

Tool i am trying to learn, currently experience is limited to course work, but i am trying to learn it through online course to improve myself

Photoshop

Able to do the fundamentals of photoshop. Used frequently during Polytechnic, and used it for editing thumbnails for some YouTube videos

Premiere Pro

Quite a lot of experience with Premiere Pro. It is essential for game trailer editing and I have used it for personal Youtube videos I did as a hobby

Maya

For making any 3D games, Maya is one of the most important tool to be used. From Modeling to rigging and even animations. Maya is really important for me to know how to use
